Young women ages 18-27 years old by February 7, 2010 that have at least a little Irish ancestry may apply. The Colleen is a spokesperson for the Arizona Irish Community in area events and rides in the St. Patrick's Day Parade in downtown Phoenix. It's a great heritage competition with judging based on poise, personality, ability to communicate well, and talent. The Colleen wins a trip to Ireland and $1000 in scholarships. The scholarship amount is worth $1, 000. You need to be either a college undergraduate, a graduate student, a transfer student, or a graduating high school senior. The deadline for the scholarship is on January 16.
