500 megalithic monuments of Iron Age,500-300 BC,is excavated in Tamil Nadu. Will it bring more on Tamils origin?
More than 500 megalithic monuments of Iron Age dating back to 500-300 BC had been excavated from Sengalur and surrounding areas in Pudukkottai district, said Dr T Dayalan, Superintending archaeologist, Archaeological Survey of India (ASI-Temple inspection scheme).
The site has also revealed habitational deposits contemporary to the megalithic documents. The construction of the stone circle by using laterite/granite boulders which are more than 4?x3?x1.5? are examples of the technological advancements in quarrying the stone and transporting them to the work site and is indeed a marvel. The edifices of the cist burials had yielded large number of potteries of different shapes and sizes.
One gets a peep into the lifestyle of those days as one views the copper objects such as ring stand, bowls, lid and other decorative pieces that are found in plenty. Such copper objects in association with megalithic burial are to be found only in certain sites in the state.

I had a very creepy dream with a wolf?
OK so last night I had a creepy but exhilarating dream. It was one of those nights where you remember your dreams perfectly, and it feels like you just had a great adventure when you were sleeping.
So it starts out with me, my family, and my dog walking through the forest. the forest was very dense so it was like there were walls of forest around us. Suddenly we reach a sort of stone circle arena, it was about the size of two football fields. there were stone stands for an audience to sit down. In this clearing there are four entrances to this place, and we are standing next to the entrance we just came out of.
then my dad and i were just joking around and my mom was playing with my dog. my dad goes "i wonder if there are any wolves here" and he fake howls. And then we hear a howl back! My dog gets extremely skittish and we see a large white wolf, north of us in another entrance. The wolf looks so amazing, and I just get this feeling of sort of being angry with it and understanding it at the same time.
Then the wolf turns and leaves. After a minute a park ranger on a snow mobile (even tho there was no snow) appears through the same entrance we came through.
He yells "hey what are you doing here? this path was closed and it dangerous! There is a very dangerous wolf pack here." He shows us the map of different wolf packs' territories. Then we leave with him, and the next thing I remember we are moving up a bleak and snowy mountain on a cable car. We reach a hunting lodge where the ranger lectures us more. The next thing I remember is that we are back from our trip, living in a huge mansion with everything i could have wanted.
What could this mean?

what is a hand powered pottery wheel called and where do i find one?
My husband described to me a potting wheel that his mom had had when he was very small. It was a simple round stone circle mounted on a very high quality set of berings. While it functioned like a modern lazy susan, it was so heavy and well balanced that it would spin smoothly for a long time with just the flick of a hand. It didn't have any external power at all. What is this type of pottery wheel called and does anyone know where I can buy one? My search terms must be wrong because I can't find any mention of these online.
