Is the Irish property market in correction or freefall.?
I noticed that in late 2006 a property I was watching sold for 365k, today a better larger property on the same street has an asking price of 300k, with another house with one more bedroom going for 315k.
Its clearly concerning times but what do you think.
I am not sure it is leveling out.
The irish property market is fueled by speculation.
Further the interest rates have been remarkably low for the last few years.
Typical rates in the us are in the 7s and in Ireland they are in the 4s,.
Now that wont cause a problem if that changes with current owners as they can fix their rate.
It will however prevent a lot of people buying new homes

I noticed that a guy I know sold his house in 2006 and got365k for it.
same houses on the same street are going for 275 or offers today??
Thats a pretty big drop and that is dublin,
Is it the same in other locations
