Whether its a holiday, on business or for a flying visit, Ireland is increasing in popularity - and rightly so! Thats why it's important to get your travel plans sorted out properly. Ireland is often referred to as being part of the British Isles. However, that's not the case and many Irish people take exception to this name which suggests that both islands belong to Britain. For this reason, "Britain and Ireland" is commonly used as a more neutral alternative. Another suggestion, although much less used, is the Islands of the North Atlantic (IONA).
