Ireland is often referred to as being part of the British Isles. However, that's not the case and many Irish people take exception to this name which suggests that both islands belong to Britain. For this reason, "Britain and Ireland" is commonly used as a more neutral alternative. Another suggestion, although much less used, is the Islands of the North Atlantic (IONA).

Singles holidays, Ireland?
Does anyone know of any group or company in Ireland that organises holidays for single people? My dad died a few years ago and my mother wants to go away on holidays but she has no one to go with. I've looked up the internet but there doesnt seem to be any company that does singles holiday...in Ireland anyway.

I booked a holiday back in Janurary but i really need to change it....well its not that important but it clashes with alot of other things!
