I have seen many national or international flags flown from all kinds of flag poles throughout the world, including the national flag of Ireland. This banner is considered a tricolor flag, meaning that it displays three different colors. Tricolor type flags are a very common configuration for national flags.
The three colors shown and flown from commercial and residential type flag poles throughout this fascinating island are green (hoist side), white and orange. The width of this banner is half that of its length, or 1:2. All three stripes are of equal size.
Many flags and banners have fascinating meaning when it comes to flag design and colors. The national flag of Ireland may be less so perhaps. However, the people of Ireland claim that the three colors do have meaningful representation. The color green is said to symbolize the nationalist tradition of Ireland whereas the orange color the Orange tradition. Ireland joined the European Union or EU back in 1973 and has been a member ever since. Northern Ireland shares the border with Ireland and is one of the four countries of the United Kingdom. Interestingly, this territory counts about 30% of the island's population, Ireland (obviously) making up the remaining number. The national banner of Ireland was adopted officially back in 1919.
The Irish tricolor flag is claimed by nationalist to be the national flag of not Ireland alone, but the whole Ireland island, including Northern Ireland. Belfast, and other places in this particular territory, is often colored by the colors of Ireland.

What country or region is this the flag of?
The flag has a red background with a white cross on it. But the cross is an X (like Scotland's), not a T (like England's or Switzerland's).
In other words, it's like the flag of Scotland, but with a red background, not a blue one.
Or, it's like the flag of Northern Ireland, but with the colours reversed.
What flag is this?
No, it can't be Denmark. The cross is an X, not a T.
It's possible that the background is an orange-red colour, or just red. I couldn't tell.
