It was established on the 50th anniversary of the 1916 Easter Rising to remember those freedom fighters who died during the course of struggle for Irish Independence. Admission is without any charges and it remains open from 8.30am to 7.30 pm, Monday to Saturday. On Sundays it is open from 10am to 6pm.
