I need a translation for an inscription(latin) on a tomb?
My family's motto is "anchorus salutis" which means "anchor of salvation".
But while I was researching my family surname history I came across another motto which had been transcribed on a tomb in Corcomroe Abbey in County Clare, Rep of Ireland.
Could anyone translate for me please it would be much appreciated!
"Spes mea et fides tenere anchorane roboris"
