Flower?...Can you identify this please.......?
Feathery leafs like a cosmo...8 inches high...multi-stem,
blossoms... (there are 3) they are about the size of a pingpong ball, they are round like a balloon with a star shape on the front of it...i have waited for it to open but I think these bizare round things are the blossom. It is all applegreen in color ...like the bells of ireland but it is not that plant...it is not a tomatilla either. It has just showed up in the midst of my flowers.
I live in Colorado and my garden is not new, at one time I did harvest wild flowers seeds from the woods, but I have never seen this before.
It is pretty and dainty but strange...any ideas?
The flowers or blooms are perfectly round like a balloon, there are no petals the front of the balloon shape tapers off into a star shape.
It does look like the bladder campanion except on the ball like blooms are dozens of spikes, not stiff spikes, but very soft feathery and about 1-2-inchen long?
