If you had some money spare would you buy Bank of Ireland shares?
Bank of Ireland shares normally trade at about ?18. The other day, they sank to an all time low of 90c, but they've begun to rally and trading closed on Friday at ?1.20. The Government here won't let the bank collapse and according to the news, there are other financial institutions interested in buying out the B of I. This being the case, would you buy shares in the B of I before they start to rise again? Surely if the Government or another financial institution buys them out, the worst that could happen is I get my money back as long as the share price doesn't drop again? Ideas anybody?
